Interview with Founder of Team Kaysar

Viewers of the Reality TV show Big Brother 6 were recently subjected to yet another surprise twist, and this one not orchestrated by CBS or its affiliates!  A single viewer, a 25 year old web designer from Toronto, Canada, recently began a movement to raise funds for a certain set of contestants, known to the viewers as the "Sovereign Team" and consisting of the following players: Howie, Rachel, Jannelle, and of course Kaysar.  According to the only official website, www.teamkaysar.com , fans of the show are requested to donate money for these houseguests to support their willingness to play the game with honesty and integrity even if by doing so they are evicted from the Big Brother House.  The goal is lofty: It is to donate $500,000 to each Sovereign Team Member, making the ultimate goal 2 million and thereby granting these houseguests, if evicted, the same amount of money they would have otherwise won from CBS.

The first thing that crosses the minds of most rational people, even diehard fans of the show, is why donate money to losers, or even to Reality TV in general? Is this site actually legitimate with the funds dispersed appropriately? Why would viewers give to this versus another charity, especially one which appears more worthy, such as AIDS or cancer research? How did this idea come to fruition? Has this man lost his mind? Is Reality TV blurring and becoming a more "real" reality to some than their own? To find the answers to these questions, I interviewed the man who originated the movement, Jayendran Namasivayam.

The idea first originated, according to Jay, during the episode in which the current "Head of Household", Jennifer, nominated Kaysar for eviction.  For those who are not familiar with this show, Kaysar is a Muslim-American who was voted back into the Big Brother house that very week after America gave him an 82% popular vote during a CBS "Viewer's Choice" competition.  As soon as the episode ended, Jay registered the domain name that night, then went to work the next morning and built the site.

The reaction of Jay's family and friends was what one would expect.  While his family claim to be fans of the show, his father chuckled, replying, "Good for you!", while his mother replied, "Are you crazy?".  The rest of his friends and family are devoted fans, and all eventually supported his endeavour, most even contribute to the maintenance of the website.  Owning his own company in partnership with his brother, One Stop Internet Solutions, Jay can maintain flexible hours while readily admitting his endeavour takes much more hard work and many more complications than initially anticipated, while still staunch in his belief that this mission can and will be accomplished.  He has recently aquired the Amazon Honor system to use for donations and is waiting for the main bank to set up the trust account.  When setup, donations can be made through any bank in America or Canada, and when the bank is satisfied with the final version of the already completed trust agreement, this agreement will be posted for everyone's review.  Visits to his site have been doubling, at minimum, daily, and Jay hopes the new documentation and payment systems will finally lay to rest any further questions of legitimacy.

So what really lies behind Team Kaysar? According to Jay, supporting people who demonstrate high moral character and integrity can be a worthy cause.  Viewers everywhere seem to be tiring of watching individuals win large sums of money by being underhanded and forced to resorting to the use of duplicity and betrayal to win the jackpots offered by the networks.  Are these the types of shows we ultimately want to view? Not according to Jay and the Team Kaysar supporters!  According to them, a donation to Team Kaysar makes the following statement: "We recognize the type of people you are and support your values and standards!"  It makes this statement whether you are a Big Brother fan or not.  While recognizing that there are other important charities, many of which Jay claims to be an avid supporter, Team Kaysar represents a noteworthy cause itself.  He strongly believes the players will respond graciously and use the money to do something worthy.  He also believes that by accomplishing this goal, he is better equipped to help even more important issues in the future.

While invited to do so, CBS has not yet responded to the involvement of its fans in the Team Kaysar movement.  Perhaps they are waiting to see them reach a certain revenue mark before they even consider the contention.  There is now way to know until CBS officially answers Jay's request to present the checks at the season finale on September 20, 2005.  Until now, the only media coverage Team Kaysar has received, despite its reflection of and possible influence on Reality TV, is an interview by Reality TV Magaizine.  It remains to be seen what attention the mainstream media will grant the organization.  Until then, Big Brother 6 fans and those who support their cause stand to change the course of Reality TV.  In Jay's mind, "I think Team Kaysar will forever change the format due to the fact that the public is finally taking a stand and will for once have to be given consideration."

We can only hope that Team Kaysar succeeds in its bid to reward integrity and demand a change of values in Reality TV.  Should you like to donate or learn more, please go to www.teamkaysar.com.  By September 20, 2005, America will begin to know the ramifications and effects Team Kaysar ultimately creates.

I thought the amount donated to Team Kaysar had reached the thousands....so why is the amount now only listed at less than $500? What happened to the rest of the money that had been donated?

"What happened to the rest of the money that had been donated?"

It's in Jay's pocket...

There was an issue with Paypal so Jay had all the money dontated through paypal refunded. Basically, he had to start all over again.

Yes he had to start all over again but now he is $4000 richer.

How is he $4000 richer??? Because of people like you Paypal shut him down so he REFUNDED repeat REFUNDED all the donations made through Paypal.

"people like me???" I'm just calling like it is. Have you seen his trust declaration? It states he will be reimbursed for his costs...he's server costs $4000 alone. Good luck if any money raised will go to Kaysar and company. Not holding my breath on that one!

$4000 for a server just for that site is crazy. I have over 5 sites on www.imagelinkusa.net and pay under $50.

I know...that's why I find it fishy...and I don't think any of the money raised will be given to kaysar and company...i think this whole thing is going down the toilet.

I find it VERY SAD that people would even donate $1.00 to something like this when there are thousands of people without homes and food. And NOW with the Hurricane doing all the damage it has done, you would think that people would spend their time helping THOSE victims instead of some camera starved lowlifes. All I can say is they need to get their priorities straight and GET A REAL LIFE.

p.s.... I have read that one of the persons They have included in the "fund" group to receive the money because of their "honesty and integrity with real moral values" she has bragged about giving a homeless person "fake money" and laughed for a long time telling her friends and family about it. And another added to the list. He always talks about boobies, sex, and "jerkingoff" and "doing it" to anybody that is 16 to 25. and Tiny. Now Thats ok, if you are a teenager going thru puberty. (I even Question that being right) However, it is weird with someone close to 40. Not to mentiom while he was trying to kiss a Gay black man who showed more restraint and dignity than him. In other words, if he was my son I could find a better way to keep him occupied) Hell, I would have him mowing my lawn till he was 55, saved enough to retire, or had grown up. (probably same time frame). When he could not sleep he would go around (HE WAS VERY SERIOUS ABOUT THIS AT TIMES GETTING ANGRY WHEN REJECTD) trying to get the girls and the gay guy to "jerkit for him so he could be strong like star wars for competitions. If they refused he climbed in a toolbox in the backyard to do it himself taking pictures of the other "woman Guests" in there with him. SOOOO, If this is the ones they are saying that desreves the money (even after LOSING) due to their Values? and Itegrity?. WOW!!! We are star wars apart on the definitions of integrity, Honesty, and Moral Values. Who knows? .. Oh yeah, Just to be fair, One of the ones they do not like and thinks have no integrity, She said she saw a homeless person was cold and went and bought him gloves and warm food. Hmmm????? You Figure it out.

Oh, About the Vote.
I hate to burst the bubble of those who believe that 82% of 5 million people voted. LOL!!!...LOL!!!
Let me ask you, How many times did YOU vote?? Well, You can bet that MANY voted at least 20 times each (probably more) SO, That means that there were only 250,000 people who voted. And if on average there were people who voted more, say, 50x's that means there were only 100,000 People. DON'T BE FOOLED! CBS would LOVE for people to believe that many people cared or were watching their show. LOL!! My Guess, 50,000 people on average voted 100x's. Either way There is NO WAY that 5 mill. Watched that show. Much less took the time to vote. If you believe otherwise, you really do need to get out more.

I had to submit the crap going on over at Team Kaysar!

So here is my saga, just had to post.

My first post was:

Posted: Fri Sep 09, 2005 12:13 pm Post subject: Lost cause

Okay with 11 days to go, I think this is a lost cause. I have been lurking on these boards for a couple of weeks now and hoped that the site would get bank approval, but now it appears that this will not happen. I only registered today to put in my 2 cents. So many people have waited and waited for something tangible to come of this, but as of today it is still not possible. I have yet to see much media from Lin on this. I have read over the Trust document and there are expenses that Jay has incurred that according to the Trust document need to be reimbursed to Jay. For example the site hosting fees. I also would like to know how much it cost you Jay to pay a lawyer to have these documents created. After all is said and done, and after the costs are reimbursed to Jay, there will be next to nothing for Team Kaysar. It would be slap in the face to give the Sov 4 $363.75, but after all the expenses, they are lucky to get a couple of dollars. I think that it is time to throw in the towel. Nothing spectacular will happen in 11 days.

I then received a personal message from the moderator Max Man who had the audacity to search from my IP address to find out where I worked. Here is his message to me:

From Max Man:

Hi there,

Something can still come of this.

No one, besides Lin is helping Jay. Jay has faced so many obstacles. You have been lurking the boards, you work at *** (I deleted the bank I work at as it is my business) and yet have not offered to help. But of course, signing up, to post to say that Jay should quit was easy. At least you could have waited the 11 days to see if something could come out of this.

So my private response to him was:

Just because I work for a bank doesn't mean I have some pull in the account set up department. You have 11 days. Where is any of the media attention? It is very unfair to expect people who only wish to donate money to run around and make something happen with a bank. I thought Jay was on top of this. He had advice from a lawyer, the bank papers were approved etc. All I wanted to do was have the site become legit and then I was going to walk over to the bank and deposit money.

I still have a legitimate question, how much is all of the lawyer fees, trust documents, and site hosting costing? Will the money already raised be used to pay for costs incurred?

I then decided to post this message on the Team Kaysar forum as stated above and with this public response:

Now to the rest of you:

Yes I work for a bank and yes I have an opinion. I just find it completely ridicoulous that the Max Man(moderator) would go to extreme lengths to search my IP address and after finding out that I work for a bank, write to me ask me why I am not trying to be more helpful because I work for a bank. I'm sorry, but my only interest in this was to donate, not to be the saviour of this cause. I still want to know how much money is it going to cost.

As this sites alienates people one by one, the media attention will become more negative not positive. Think about it before sending private messages that pretty much has alienated me from wanting to donate.

THIS IS THE BIGGEST SCAM YET AND I WILL BE SURE THAT EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT IT. I HOPE KAYSAR READS THESE BOARDS AND REALIZES WHAT A SCAM TEAM KAYSAR IS.

P.S. I was banned from their site in less than 2 hours.

You can have your "donation" to Team Kaysar refuned at any time so how is that a scam?

oh really??? go ahead ask for a refund and see how far that gets you...Jay refunded the Pay Pal donations because he was forced to...the account was frozen. Now he won't refund anyone's money. The little amoun of 1575 that he collected is going into his pocket as his so-called expenses exceed $1575. So good luck getting a refund!

Three phrases should be among the most common in our daily usage. They are: Thank you, I am grateful and I appreciate.
